Draycote Water is a superb venue for sailors and windsurfers of all abilities.

We are one of only a few clubs in the UK that offers every day opening (except Christmas Day) with full safety cover from professional safety staff.

Our Club

With 650 acres of usable sailing water, we are one of the largest inland areas in the Midlands. We have very active and large fleets of Lasers, Solos, Fireballs, Flying Fifteens and Miracles. We have Fleet racing on Wednesday Nights and Sundays. If a boat outside those classes takes your fancy we also offer a very active handicap racing at the same time.

The club has everything required onsite. The waterside clubhouse provides a bar, catering, lounge and conference facility – offering panoramic views of the entire reservoir. This is great for family and friends to watch the action on the water. In addition there is a professional on site Chandlery/Training facility.

Junior and Youth Sailing

We have an extremely active Youth and Junior section which provides a fun way to progress through the RYA junior sailing scheme learning essential sailing skills before joining in with the main racing events. Our office is run by knowledgeable and friendly staff who will be pleased to answer any queries you may have.

Boat Hire

Boats are available to hire to members. We offer a range of boats from Picos, Lasers, Laser 2000, Miracle, Flying Fifteen, Fireball through to Dart 16s . Please inquire at the shop or in the office for details.

The Social Side

Having such great facilities on hand, Draycote also has a great social calendar; from BBQ’s in the summer to quizzes in the Winter and open meeting/championship parties throughout the year, members and visitors alike will always receive a warm welcome.
