Cat fleet race weekend results

Saturday 4^th November 2006

Here are the results for the weekends racing – excellent turnout of 12 boats and a good time was had by all.

The interpreted results are probably more meaningful as they take into account the various irregular events that happened (see explanation!)

1st Jim and Jo joint with Matt

3^rd Derek or John Leybourne

4^th Jon Stone

Interpreted results take into account the following;

1/ Bandit Matt had his jib up even though single handed and was consequently seen flying the windward hull whilst everyone else was sitting on opposite sides of the boat!

2/ Charitable Ed forgot that he was racing and got so confident in his first place that he went back to help Simon in Race 2!

3/ Derek sailed Eds spare boat in the morning and John sailed Eds boat in the afternoon

4/ In race 6 Sporting Jon Stone was the only person who recrossed the line because I cocked up the start (Although in fact this would make no difference to the overall result)

3^rd Matt Isherwood and Crew or not!

4^th Tony Smith and Father

5^th Mark Reader

6^th Bob Baxter and Daughter

So, well done Jim and Jo for scoring a double victory and well done Ed for coming overall first in the Dart 15 and giving the Dart 18’s a run for there money in most races!

Good performance by John Leybourne who has never previously sailed a Dart15!(Good training Matt?)

Jeremy won a race!
