Severn Trent Construction Work

This page has information regarding the Severn Trent construction works on our site, and the plans and reports that we have put together in response.

Please be aware that although the new lease has been 'in progress' for a number of years now, delays accumulated over that time have made ST keen to act fast when it is finally signed. There are a number of factors, mostly entirely beyond our control, which will affect the timing of certain operations. We may find that we have to move with unprecedented haste to react to these events, and we may not receive (or give you) as much notice of some of these events as we would like.

We will, of course, do our best to keep you informed and to minimise the disruption to your sailing.

This page will be as updated as quickly as possible with any relevant information, however, please also see the forum for any up-to-the-minute information.

4/10/11

We now need to move the boats that are affected by the forthcoming ST works. There will be a working party starting 11:00am on Saturday 8th October to move boats to the shore. Please come and assist if you are able to do so.

Revised plan of new roadway

1/10/11

The working party this weekend is postponed because, the contractor building the new boat park road has come up with a revised plan which reduces the number of boats to be moved and inconvenience to all.  If the new plan is acceptable to the club, a new date for the working party will be set - probably for next weekend 8th/9th October.  Work will not now start on building the new road until week commencing 10th October at the earliest.

17/9/11

The top car park is closed off. Members can park free of charge in the Country Park. Just make sure you have your membership sticker visible.

03/9/11

We will now have the use of the top car park until at least week commencing 12th Sept

27/8/11
