Water

When we heard that the UKFA were making the Fireball Nationals a special 40th Birthday celebration event and holding it at Marazion, we just had to take a small chunk of the Draycote fleet down there to support them. Eleven Draycote boats attended, bringing the overall entry up to 68. And although most of the pictures seem to show it a bit cloudy, the weather was fantastic. We had an offshore F3-6 for the first 3 days, a day off, and then an onshore F3-4 for the last 3 days. The sun shone enough to make sunblock a must, although the water was a bit cold, hence the occasional drysuit.

Most of this lot are courtesy of Phil and Tina. Click on pictures to get a bigger view.

The View from Lord St. Levan's pad on the Mount - we had a guided tour hosted by the main man, and very nice it was too.

No matter how hard you try, you cannot get everybody in one place for a photo at the same time.

One of very few wooden boats to attend, this one came back in one piece too. However, it did need to have the shroud plates glued back on at one point.

The whole team, including groupies,  hangers-on, weirdos, families etc.

Except Helen, whom we couldn't find.

Note tasteful Draycote Fireball polo shirts worn by nearly everybody.
